What I have Been Sewing This Week

This week I have finished off a new boiled wool jacket in time for the cold snap. Its from a Vogue art pattern and was nice and quick to make. Boiled wool is so great to sew. It does not involve finishing on the edges and so I have gone with a zig zag edge around the jacket. I have gone with a Kilt pin for closing instead of a button to increase the ways it can be worn.

Oh, and I am still making Venus bookmarks. They are so much fun!

Love the jacket, it's gorgeous. And those bookmarks are great, a few ladies from my book club are coming to the BrisStyle market so I'll direct them your way!!

What a beautiful jacket. Boiled wool is a newbie to me, but I think I could become a devoted follower! See you at the markets.
